Nine contributions on Byzantine heritage in the western Balkans: church architecture, iconography and the circulation of models between provincial centres. The volume follows the argument that the province reworked Constantinopolitan models rather than copying them.

Texts appear in their original language, with summaries in the other two. Volkov’s contribution is in Russian with a parallel translation, at the author’s request that the original remain readable.
