A corpus of four hundred and ninety funerary inscriptions from the Dukagjin plain and Malësia e Madhe, covering the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries. Each is given transcribed, translated, photographed and annotated, with palaeographic notes where the reading is arguable.

The introductory study treats the formulae of mercy: where they come from, how they vary by area, and why the Gjakova variant keeps the full form where the Peja one shortens it. The argument is comparative and takes in the written Arbëresh tradition.

The onomastic index records every personal and place name in the corpus, referenced to the inscription number. The digital edition is searchable across the full text, commentary included.
