A survey of the toponymic strata of the Dukagjin plain, resting on Gjeçovi’s notebooks and on twentieth-century cadastral registers. The book distinguishes four strata and admits openly that the boundaries between them are arguable.
The folded map at the back gives each stratum its own colour. The onomastic index records forms that have fallen out of use as well, with the source in which each was last attested.
